Our Why
At The Augusts, we know that investing in the photography and videography for your wedding day is the most rewarding investment you'll make for that day. From the flowers to the food, the shots from your wedding are the only thing that lasts past your day and the value of those will only increase over time. Two of our favourite things to do together is to flip through photos from our wedding, and to watch our wedding film.
The photos and film from our wedding day are what keeps our family and friends who couldn’t make it connected with us. They’re what we show new friends when we invite them for dinner for the first time. They’ll be there for us to show our kids and for our kids to show our grandkids. And most importantly they’re there for us to look back on with ear to ear smiles. We know that picking a wedding photographer and videographer is another box to tick in the planning process but we also know that this moment is crazy important to every couple who's tying the knot, whether they realize it or not.
It’s so important to us that your wedding photographers and videographers are trustworthy, educated and constantly growing and learning. You can rely on us to protect your images, knowing that the files from your wedding day will be safely stored on multiple hard drives. You’ll be able to trust our technical and creative knowledge, as we’ve been formally educated. And you’ll be able to relax and enjoy the process as we’ve done this many times before!
We want to deliver those unexpected, unposed and imperfectly perfect shots of the details and the raw emotion. We deliver quality images influenced by professional education alongside experienced and intentional edits. We are excited to make this experience fun from the beginning to end and by the end you won't even notice the cameras, but instead be just a little bit more in love your other half who you've decided to spend the rest of your days beside!

Your wedding photographer and videographer play a huge role in your wedding day experience. In fact, couples on their wedding day often spend the most time with their wedding photography and videography team! It is really important to us that you feel comfortable, excited and celebrated by us and we try our very best to facilitate that kind of relationship. We really do love our clients and we want to make their experience memorable from the day they sign the contract to the day we deliver their files.

Our associate team is a group of super talented photographers and videographers who film and photograph weddings and elopements for us, under The Augusts name. After they shoot your wedding, we’ll handle all of the editing, etc. and deliver the final product. Our associates are all professionals in the industry and have their own businesses - they’re all very talented and we are so thankful for each one of them. When you hire an associate through us, you’re getting an Augusts experience from start to finish. You’ll be working with us (Jonah and Rebekah) alongside our associates and while they are tackling the wedding day shooting, we are handling everything else from communication to editing and pulling it all together for delivery. You’ll get to meet your associate before your wedding day whether that be in person, on zoom or at your engagement shoot and you’ll get to meet and work with us as well - it’s truly a best of both worlds collaboration!

Package Structure
/01 Photo & Video Savings – While we prioritize weddings where we are shooting both photo and video, we also give our photo and video clients an opportunity to save, giving them around 20% off.
/02 Customize & Add On – Looking for more hourly coverage or different package deliverables? Our packages are fully customizable, just reach out with your questions and we can build you something custom. We also have multiple additional services that you can add on to your package.
/03 Mix & Match – Some of our clients need more coverage of either photo or video. You’re welcome to mix and match our photo and video packages while still receiving the discounted rate.
/04 Travel – Around a quarter of our weddings annually are outside of the Vancouver area. We frequent the Okanagan and Vancouver Island and love joining our couples in new or out of province locations. Mileage and travel time is on us, but we do ask for ferry/flight costs and some accommodations to be covered. Chat with us for specific quotes.

Like an engagement photoshoot – but on video! A 1-2 minute cinematic video of our time with you at your engagement shoot. Purchase on it’s own or pair with a photoshoot.

Add on hours of coverage for your wedding day. Depending on our availability, this could also be added to the day before or after your wedding if you are having more events you’re wanting covered.
Example: rehearsal dinner or next day breakfast.

This is a short 30 second highlight video that you would receive before your final wedding video. Our clients use this as a teaser to share on social media as a preview from their wedding day. This is often (but not always) upbeat and fast paced. Usually formatted to be shared as an Instagram reel.

A full ceremony video. This will have multiple angles, good audio and will show your wedding ceremony from start to finish.

A compilation video of all of your reception speeches from start to finish.

25-60 minutes in length, a documentary (doc) edit is a long form video displaying much more than what is in the highlight or feature film that is included in your package. Though still colour graded, edited and audio refined, this video is more raw than a highlight video or feature film. This is a great way to make sure no moments are missed from your wedding memory bank!
Videography Add Ons

Usually around 1 hour in length, and included in some packages, our engagement shoots are a great way to warm up in front of the camera and get some pre wedding portraits done!

Add on hours of coverage for your wedding day. Depending on our availability, this could also be added to the day before or after your wedding if you are having more events you’re wanting covered. Example: rehearsal dinner or next day breakfast.

Our custom photo albums are designed by us and built by the best. Our print shop uses the highest quality papers and fabrics so we aren’t compromising on image quality. Fully customizable, after your wedding gallery is delivered you’ll put your order in via our questionnaire, “heart” your favourite images from your gallery and we will do the rest!

After your wedding gallery is delivered, you’ll have full access to dozens of products and print options to turn your images into physical heirlooms. Purchase and order prints and products to be shipped right to your doorstep.
PS - we always give a discount to our print shop upon gallery delivery ;)

Marco is, quite honestly, probably one of the nicest people you will ever meet. His joyful energy flows into his craft and his love for people and filmmaking is so evident when he’s documenting weddings. His other passions are, skateboarding, meeting new people, and adventuring with his wife. Marco has been filming couples for 3+ years.

As an avid traveller, Ryan has become an incredible storyteller and he has travelled all over the world capturing love stories. His love for experiencing other cultures has shaped him to be extremely attentive to each couple’s unique story. He has over 10 years of experience in the wedding industry, and one of his greatest passions outside his work is fashion.

Kiana is a creative’s creative. She is a lover of art, and a motivated storyteller. She’s our lead photographer, and so very sweet to be around. She’ll make you feel incredibly comfortable in front of the camera because she blends her love for people and photography perfectly together.
