OKANAGAN WEDDING

PHOTOGRAPHY & VIDEOGRAPHY

So you’re getting married in the Okanagan, hey? We encourage that decision! There truly is no where like the Okanagan to have your wedding or elopement. We have been photographing and filming weddings and elopements here for several years, and we love its diversity of locations.

The Okanagan spans from Vernon to Osoyoos with deep blue lakes, rolling hills, and prime wineries. Many of our couples have incorporated wine tasting into their elopements, or have featured local wines at their wedding. We truly love being photographers and videographers in the Okanagan, and we are stoked that you’re getting married here!

  • Wedding photographs serve as a visual reminder of the most important aspects of the day. From getting ready shots, first look, ceremony, the exchanging of vows, portraits, all the way to the reception. These moments will be cherished forever, thus making wedding photographers one of the essential wedding vendors; on the wedding day and in the days that follow.

  • Wedding videography is such a unique way to remember your wedding day, to tell your own narrative and to remember the movement, sounds and emotions from your day. Ask anyone who has ever had their wedding filmed and they’ll tell you that hiring a wedding videographer is a must!

  • The Okanagan (/oʊkəˈnɑːɡən/ OH-kə-NAH-gən),[3] also known as the Okanagan Valley and sometimes as the Okanagan Country, is a region in the Canadian province of British Columbia defined by the basin of Okanagan Lake and the Canadian portion of the Okanagan River. It is part of the Okanagan Country, extending into the United States as Okanogan County in north-central Washington. According to the 2016 Canadian census, the region's population is 362,258. The largest populated cities are Kelowna, Penticton, Vernon and West Kelowna.

The region is known for its dry, sunny climate, dry landscapes and lakeshore communities and particular lifestyle.[4] The economy is retirement and commercial-recreation based, with outdoor activities such as boating and watersports, skiing and hiking. Agriculture has been focused primarily on fruit orchards, with a recent shift in focus to vineyards and wine.

The region stretches northwards via the Spallumcheen Valley to connect to Sicamous in the Shuswap Country, and reaches south of the Canada–United States border, where it continues as Okanogan County. The Okanagan as a region is sometimes described as including the Boundary, Similkameen and Shuswap regions, though this is because of proximity and historic and commercial ties with those areas. - Wikipedia
