We’re The Augusts

We are Vancouver wedding and elopement photographers and videographers. Jonah and I have been together since 2014 and have been shooting weddings together since 2017. I have a diploma in Professional Photography and Jonah has a diploma in Audio Engineering and Music Production and a degree in Counselling. We’re passionate about people, we’re creative in everything we do, and are always planning an adventure. All of those things have landed us on photographing, filming and hanging out with couples and we love every second of it.

Jonah is the filmmaker of this duo and is so passionate about what he does. His approach to making wedding and elopement films begin with intentional, artistic and meaningful shots. When he sits down to put it all together his main goal is to tell a story, pull emotion and to make a timeless film for couples to carry with them forever. When he isn’t on the job, he is probably researching new gear to buy..

I’m the photo enthusiast between the two of us and have been obsessed with creating through photography since I was a young girl. I am a slight perfectionist but have always been pulled by the imperfections of art and creativity. When I’m not working, I’m grabbing coffee with friends or teaching my pup a new trick.

We love good food and drinks and we’ll always take recommendations on the best Japanese or Italian restaurants. Our favourite Vancouver cafe is Revolver in Gastown and we are loyal customers. In the off season, we spend our days out in nature with our son and pup. We’re sort of minimalists and believe that real joy isn’t found in the next new thing. We try to spend our money and time on experiences rather than material things and love love love our friends and families. We’re looking forward to getting to know YOU.
